How Huggah happened

We kept hearing it: mattresses feel good for a week and then… meh. The industry stacked layer upon layer to chase comfort. We went the other way and rebuilt the core material.

After years in the lab (and a heroic amount of coffee), we figured out how to produce a new type of foam at scale. We patented it and called it Zetic®. It’s a single, intelligent core designed to spread pressure while keeping you steadily supported. It is unlike any other foam out there with new set of behaviour and performance.

Zetic paved the way to Huggah. Huggah is the first mattress in the world to use our novel foam core. This breakthrough was developed in Malta, and the disruption begins here.

Our mission is to turn that breakthrough into better sleep for real people, starting with a small group of Maltese pioneers who will help us refine the final details.

Most mattresses try to balance pressure relief with support by stacking different foams. Zetic® foam contracts sideways when compressed (0 to slightly negative Poisson’s ratio), so pressure spreads more evenly while your body stays calmly supported.

It feels like a gentle hug without the sink, easy to turn, and consistent night after night. No gimmicks, just material science doing the work.
