Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy applies to purchases from Huggah (“we”, “us”), operated by Smart Materials Limited, Malta.

1) Where we ship

We currently offer free delivery in Malta and Gozo.

If you need delivery outside Malta/Gozo, contact us before ordering for a quote and feasibility check.

 

2) Delivery method

Room-of-choice delivery (included)

All mattress deliveries in Malta and Gozo are delivered to your room of choice, where reasonably accessible.

Important: Huggah mattresses are not “mattress-in-a-box” items and are delivered unboxed/unrolled (as applicable). This means access constraints matter.

 

3) Lead times

Typical lead times are:

  • ~2 weeks if the product is in stock; or
  • up to ~3 months if the product is not in stock / is on backorder.

We’ll confirm your estimated delivery window after your order is placed and keep you updated if anything changes materially.

 

4) Delivery scheduling

Delivery is scheduled individually with each customer.

You are responsible for ensuring:

  • someone is available to receive the delivery at the agreed time; and
  • access is suitable for safe handling of the mattress (see next section).

 

5) Access, stairs, narrow spaces, and lifters

Because the mattress is not delivered in a box, it may require clear, safe access through doorways, stairwells, corridors, and lifts.

If your property cannot accommodate easy access for the mattress, then:

  • any lifter (e.g., external hoist/lift) required; and
  • the arrangement and cost of that lifter

are the customer’s responsibility.

To avoid issues on delivery day, we strongly recommend you contact us in advance if you have:

  • narrow staircases or corridors
  • tight turns
  • small lifts
  • restricted access buildings
  • upper floors with limited maneuvering space

If access constraints prevent delivery as planned, we may need to reschedule delivery. In such cases, we’ll work with you to find the next best option.

 

6) Free old mattress removal (optional)

We offer free removal of your old mattress in Malta and Gozo on the day of delivery, if requested in advance.

Conditions:

  • The customer must sign a mattress removal declaration at collection.
  • Removed mattresses are not stored and will not be returned to the customer.
  • Please ensure the old mattress is accessible for removal at the agreed time.

 

7) Missed deliveries / rescheduling

If you are not available at the scheduled time, or if access is not as described and delivery cannot be completed safely, delivery may need to be rescheduled.

 

8) Checking your order on arrival

Please inspect the delivered items upon arrival and notify us as soon as reasonably possible if:

  • the wrong item/size was delivered, or
  • there is visible damage to the product or cover

This does not affect your statutory rights or warranty coverage.
